In the year 1995, when Govt of U. P. put a ban on costruction of new tubewells, the tubewell construction work was substantially reduced . In the view of  utilization  of the infrastructure available in the Corporation , the Coporation  decided to diversify its activities and started civil construction works such as Buildings , roads, hydraulic structures and works related to rural development .In year 1995 its name was changed as U.P. Projects & Tubewells Corportation Ltd .  In year 1995 U.P. Govt. declared the corporation as CONSTRU CTION AGENCY vide G.O. No. 1434/99-27-Irrigation-5-36 Tw. Dt. 14-7-99 for construction of shallow and deep tubewells, hydrological structure such as Barrage, aquaduct, syphon, pump house, drainage, lining of canals, reservoir, underground and over head water tanks  and  distribution systems etc.

As a result of diversification the turnover of the corporation subtantially increased from  Rs. 640.45 lacs in  1995 to Rs. 21229.47 lacs in 2005-2006. 2001 as U.P. Projects Corporation Ltd. & Govt. of U.P. again recognised it as Construction agency for construction of buildings wide letter no. E-8-667/10/06-89/2004 Dt. 6 June 2006.

The Corporation comes under ministry of U.P. Irrigation and is managed  by the Board of Directors with Hon’ble Shri Naseemuddin Siddiqui & Chairman, Minister of Irrigation it’s Chairman.Other members of the board are senior Govt. officers from various  departments , who are men of eminence from various sectors such as Engineering, Finance and Administration etc. The Organisation is headed by the Managing Director who has technical expertise in execution of various projects.

At  present there are Eleven General Mangers , Thirty Two Project Mangers, 47 Assitant Projet Mangers and 127 of Junior engineers Supervisors of different engineering disciplines with sufficient technical experience and some non technical staff working at corporate office and field units.
